Fly Fishing Rivers
The Eucumbene river still hasn’t fired yet not many reports coming in as yet let’s hope the weather warms up so the insect life gets active soon.
We did get some good reports on the other small rivers around the area but only on the good days with no wind so the fish are there we just need this wind to stop.
Don’t forget about the Monaro rivers we have been stocking them for sometime now so they should be fishing well if you haven’t fished these rivers around hear give it a go the rivers are running and there clear. To me this is fishing and it’s been awhile now and I’m looking forward to getting out there.
Remember the Eucumbene and Thredbo are not the only rivers about get out there and have a look at all the other rivers you will be surprised.

Lake Eucumbene:-reports are comingwith many fisherman doing it tuff on the fly but still we keep getting reports off browns being Caught all over the Dam many fisherman getting them on Mrs Simpsons, Hammills killers, fuzzy’s, black Phantoms.
Still not getting many reports off rainbows coming in now the lake in coming up and is about to go over the grass let’s hope things will change soon with the Snowy mtns Trout festival on this weekend I think the fly fishermen have a good chance off snagging the big one and if you are lucky you will get that rainbow that will take out the big price I do think if you are going in the fly section you will have a good chance in taking out some good prices this week coming up so give it a go get out there and show everyone what the fly fishermen can do well when the going gets tuff!!
My tip fish all the gully’s around the lake
Best wet flies are Mrs Simpson, Hammills, Phantoms, fuzzys, in the gully’s bead head Nymphs
Remember try fishing at in the middle of the day when the insects are about and the days is warmest.

Lake Jindabyne:-
fishing has Improved on the lake when the wind has stopped good hatches are starting to happen and the fish are starting to come in close.
Fishing on the windy days most wet flies are working well Mrs Simpsons, woolly buggers, phantoms, Fuzzys when the wind has stopped dry’s have been great with plenty of fish rising in close and out wide. Most fish are still coming in close and feeding well and taking Dry’s. Klinkhammers, Wulffs, ant patterns, stick caddis, most off the fishing has been over on the western side off the lake with good results get into them tight bays where the food is.

TROLLING AND SPINNING JINDABYNE & EUCUMBENE, trolling is still going well and with the trout festival coming up there will be plenty off happy trollers about.
Trolling around Eucumbene has been good with some good reports around Buckenderra, Rushes bay, Wainui Bay, have been the stand out bays
Most people are using Blades, tassies, Rapalas, and the new strike Pro Bob N Spoons.
We been getting some good reports in most of these fish have been taking Blades, Tassies and Sting lures
At the moment I would be fishing around Buckenderra this seems to be the place to be with the reports getting better and better every week.
best tassies are most yellow wings, Y94,112,48,111,s11,106,88,89 don’t forget to try the sting lures as well.
Best areas are Buckenderra, Rushes bay, yens bay, Dam wall the best lure by fare has been the snowy minnow of the banks this lure amazes me it always bring the best results when it’s windy. When Trolling Jindabyne stay in close to the banks using tassies, Blades, Celtas,
Best place to fish is Buckenderra trolling with worms has been really good

     “BAIT FISHING IS FANTASTIC”

BAIT IN STOCK MUDEYES, WORMS, GRUBS, POWER BAIT...WORMS ARE GOING GREAT WITH PLENTY OF BROWNS ABOUT

JINDABYNE... Jindabyne is still fishing really well regardless of the releasing of the waters. The fish have been caught on Power bait under scrub worm and some reports show mudeyes are coming in to the swing of things. If the weather allow if you cannot go past a worm under a bubble float and hold on as the big browns take off with it. Yes we have Mudeyes now and there picking up the rainbows out wide.

Nic waldhauser 3.0kg 66cm power bait buckenderra.

Eucumbene-:Bait fishing is really good with some good reports coming in most off the fishing has been down the bottom end off the lake the browns are taking worms and grubs with the worms doing the best. The power bait has been a little slow but it’s still working well on the rainbows. What can I say about the bait reports well it’s fantastic and the browns are everywhere and big so all I can say get up there and have a good time.
