EUCUMBENE LAKE FLY FISHING
Fly fishing has had it’s ups and downs lately with all the hot weather and water temperature but in the last few weeks things have change with the water Temperature and weather.
Weather has cooled down and water Temp is around 16 Degrees and now we are starting to see more fish moving around.
Rushes Bay and Seven Gates are fishing well with Woolly Buggers, Woolly Worms, Mrs Simpsons, Brown and Black Muddlers, Rainbows and Browns are active early mornings and late afternoons.
Braemer Bay about the same as Seven Gates But reports the rainbows are small
Anglers Reach and Old Adaminaby and higher up are fishing slow so not many reports coming in.
Tantangara lake Things are still going good on the fly with some good results coming from the top end of the lake, Best flies have been Muddlers and Woolly Worms.
Lake Jindabyne, Sorry not many reports coming in
Nimmitabel Dam, Still fishing well over on the dam wall side with Nymphs and Woolly Buggers. Great Dam to fish to get some practice on your fly casting.
MONARO RIVERS
Most rivers are still fishing well after the big rain falls about a mouth ago Nymphs are the go.
THREDBO RIVER
No reports of any fish running yet still waiting for rain
EUCUMBENE RIVER
No reports of any fish running yet but below the portal the tunnel is still running hard yes you will find the fish there reports have been ok.
EUCUMBENE LAKE TROLLING
Trolling has been doing ok but only down at the bottom end of the lake
Seven Gates, Tassie Devils 135,103,4,450 and Bullet Lures
Rushes Bay, Tassie Devils 81,130,110 and Bullet Lures
Buckenderra, 103,135,BB,121,15,4
Best areas are Seven Gates and Rushes Bay
Overall the trolling has been good as the water temp drops it Improves more good Rainbow and Browns have been caught,
