We are getting a lot of feed back from the Seven Gates area about fires and rubbish left all over the place.  Please be mindful to take your rubbish with you and clean up after yourself.  Please be sure to carry your PFD & fishing licences as NSW Maritimes are out. Nsw fisheries inspectors are working the Snowy Mountains area during the peak holiday season. So remember if you do not have a current fishing licence and on your person you will be fined. So for the sake of 5 minutes do yourself a favour.

"REMEMBER ONLY ONE FISH OVER 50cm"

*Remember that from the 1st of May the size and bag limit changes in the Eucumbene and Thredbo Rivers.  From May 1 you may only keep ONE fish OVER 50 cm per day in these waters.  Fisheries will be very active this season in these waters so make sure you stick to these rules and have your fishing licence with you while fishing.

Hi
Stopped in at your shop on Friday to buy some tying gear, great range, look forward to seeing the hareline ice dub in stock later in the year as you mentioned.Iv attached the picture of my best brown trout to date, approx 12lb and in superb condition, released to hopefully make the run up river to spawn, caught Tuesday, swinging flies down and across on a switch rod and skagit shooting head with sink tip, my preferred method for trout these days.

All the best.

                                              'BOTH RIVERS ARE FISHING GREAT'

FLY FISHING EUCUMBENE RIVER. It cannot get any better then this fish are starting to go up the Eucumbene river everywhere with good reports coming from all parts off the river from top to bottom.
As everyone knows the glow bugs and nymphs are the best flies to use there has been some rain and the water is a little dirty but it clears up quickly.
Remember the fish are up there spawning try to keep out off the runs and let your fish go as quick as possible.
What can i say but get up there have the fun give all fishers space to fish and have a good time good luck. Remember do not forget the split shot or better still Tung Nymphs.

Al Wileman with a nice brown "looks like he's wearing a jigsaw puzzle

THREDBO RIVER. Reports are starting to come in with good fish moving from the lake up to the bridge the water is dirty but clearing up so thing will only get better for the weekend.
Funny thing is we are getting go reports off rainbows going up and taking the glow bugs and nymphs.
The lake is up high so there is not much river to fish from the bridge down but the fishing is good. Reports from paddy’s have been slow but after the rain at Thredbo things will change so by the weekend you will see more bronws around there.
Overall the river is running well and the fishing is good.

Middling bank ok,, Worms, grubs, power bait
Rushes ok,, Worms,power bait
Seven gates good,, Worms, power bait and grubs
Braemer bay good,,Grubs and worms
Aunty Crows good,, Grubs, worms, power bait
Providence ok,, Worms,power bait
Anglers Reach good,, Grubs and worms

BAIT FISHING JINDABYNE
Things have really Improved at Jindy with good reports coming from Kalkite and around the Thredbo mouth with good browns and rainbows.
Over at Kalkite the grubs have been the best bait with browns and rainbows really on the go down at Jindy East worms and power bait have been working well and over at the mouth off the river worms have been the best bait.
Things have been looking well at the lake with the temp dropping and the weather not so good has made thing turn with good results.
With all this bad weather it has been hard to get out there fishing but the fishers who have got out have done well but do not worry the weather is going to be good this weekend and the fishing should be good.
