We are getting a lot of feed back from the Seven Gates area about fires and rubbish left all over the place.  Please be mindful to take your rubbish with you and clean up after yourself.  Please be sure to carry your PFD & fishing licences as NSW Maritimes are out. Nsw fisheries inspectors are working the Snowy Mountains area during the peak holiday season. So remember if you do not have a current fishing licence and on your person you will be fined. So for the sake of 5 minutes do yourself a favour.

Maritime services are on the lakes, So make sure you water craft are up to par with current safety standards, if you are not sure contact Ph 13 12 56 or website:

"REMEMBER ONLY ONE FISH OVER 50cm"

*Remember that from the 1st of May the size and bag limit changes in the Eucumbene and Thredbo Rivers.  From May 1 you may only keep ONE fish OVER 50 cm per day in these waters.  Fisheries will be very active this season in these waters so make sure you stick to these rules and have your fishing licence with you while fishing.

'RIVER FISHING IS AT IT'S BEST'

FLY FISHING EUCUMBENE RIVER. Well this is the last week for all trout streams from Monday 12 am all trout rivers in NSW close till October long weekend.
All rivers are fishing well from top to bottom good reports coming from Dennison with fish around the 9lb mark and more up passed the tree line reports have been good with fish in every pocket off water.
Up around Kiandra most reports are coming from down stream with good numbers off fish in every run.
Overall the fishing is great remember this is the last week off fishing so get up there and have some fun good luck.

THREDBO RIVER. Good reports coming from Thredbo bridge down and up to the first run from the bridge with browns and brooks.
Most browns have been around the 5lb mark with a few braking the 10lb mark.
Remember when fishing the Thredbo or Eucumbene get the split shot on you must get to the bottom many fishers are coming in saying the fish are everywhere but they cannot hook up (you need to get the flies down to the bottom)
Overall the fishing is great on both rivers but Eucumbene is the place to be with the results coming in Eucumbene from top to bottom is fantastic.

TROLLING EUCUMBENE.. Not much has changed at Eucumbene but when trolling get out wider with the tassie’s and slow down!!
Trolling has been ok with reports coming from Seven gates, Rushes, Braemer Bay, Anglers Reach and Frying pan.
Most fishers have been trolling out in the deeper waters with good results still getting a few browns but the rainbows have been taking most lures.

Tassie Devils,, 4, 50, 48, 124, 125, 125  and most yellow wings
Sting lures,, 1, 3, 5, 17, 20, 23, 10
Rapala lures,, F7, F5 Rainbows and Browns

BAIT FISH EUCUMBENE
Bait fishing has been good and bad but we are still getting good reports off good browns and rainbows taking grubs and worms rainbows up to 3lb and the browns up to 5lb and still in good condition.
Buckenderra ok,, Worms, power bait
Middling bank ok,, Worms, grubs, power bait
Rushes ok,, Worms,power bait
Seven gates good,, Worms, power bait and grubs
Braemer bay good,,Grubs and worms
Aunty Crows good,, Grubs, worms, power bait
Providence ok,, Worms,power bait
Anglers Reach good,, Grubs and worms

BAIT FISHING JINDABYNE
Things have really Improved at Jindy with good reports coming from Kalkite and around the Thredbo mouth with good browns and rainbows.
Over at Kalkite the grubs have been the best bait with browns and rainbows really on the go down at Jindy East worms and power bait have been working well and over at the mouth off the river worms have been the best bait.
Things have been looking well at the lake with the temp dropping and the weather not so good has made thing turn with good results.
With all this bad weather it has been hard to get out there fishing but the fishers who have got out have done well but do not worry the weather is going to be good this weekend and the fishing should be good.
