HEADLINES

carry your PFD & fishing licences as NSW Maritimes are out. Nsw fisheries inspectors are working the Snowy Mountains area during the peak holiday season. So remember if you do not have a current fishing licence and on your person you will be fined. So for the sake of 5 minutes do yourself a favour.

Maritime services are on the lakes, So make sure you water craft are up to par with current safety standards, if you are not sure contact Ph 13 12 56 or website:

LAKE LEVELS 25/10/2021
EUCUMBENE   41% STEADY
JINDABYNE     86% STEADY
TANTANGARA  27% FALLING

 

 


 

 

 

 

LAKE EUCUMBENE FLY
Well the season has kicked of well with the fishing good all over the lake with the lake up over 40% the fish are feeding well over new ground
Buckenderra is fishing well with woolly buggers , Nymphs, Midge and buzzers
Rushes Bay, this is the place to be with the water levels up and plenty off food the fishing is at it’s best. Bead head Nymphs size 14,16 are smashing some good rainbow and brown
Best times are through the day once the sun goes down things start to go quite.
Seven Gates much the same as Buckenderra fishing well on the same flies
Anglers Reach, Old Adaminaby, are all fishing well just use larger flies Woolly Buggers, Mrs Simpsons, Larger bead head Nymphs
Overall the lake is at it’s best and will only get better as the lake levels keep rising
 
LAKE JINDABYNE FLY
Well this is the best this lake has fished for many years,  Looks like it’s going to be a good season with water levels staying high
Most flies are fishing well Woolly Buggers and Small Nymphs still seeing big browns along the edges looking for yabbies early mornings and late afternoons Night time has been a little quite.
Overall the fishing is great worth the trip up there.
 
 
EUCUMBENE RIVER
The river is fishing well with good results coming from top to bottom.
At the moment most fishers are using Nymphs bead heads and Woolly Buggers to get down to the bottom with good results.
Not much we can say about the river just get up there and have a good time great fish everywhere.
Remember lets look after the river systems and practice catch and release
 
 
THREDBO RIVER
Is fishing well most reports have been coming from the Skitube and Thredbo township most fishers have been using bead head Nymphs and Woolly Buggers in the faster running waters.
Now the river is slowing down a few good reports have been coming from Paddy’s corner down with some good rainbows and Brookies moving up stream.
 
 
MONARO STREAMS
Not many reports as yet with all the Monaro rivers running hard and dirty but good times too come.
 
EUCUMBENE LAKE TROLLING
Eucumbene has been turning it on for the trollers with some really good reports all over the lake.
Buckenderra, Seven Gates, Old Adaminaby , Anglers Reach Are all fishing great

JINDABYNE LAKE TROLLING
Is fishing at it’s best with some really good browns coming out most fish have been caught close to the shore line early mornings
Best places are Kalkite, Hay Shed Bay, and up around Weston’s
Tassie Devils , Porky’s, Spotted Dog Rapalas,
 
Bait fishing on Euc and jindy
Bait fishing is outstanding worms and power bait are killing it.
