The RIO Technical Trout fly line with SlickCast is designed for delicate presentations of small lines in close and at long range. SlickCast technology produces the lowest friction ever measured on a fly line.
The RIO Technical Trout has a long front taper that turns over flies with delicacy at long range. When we go to the fly line wall to help a customer select a floating line for pure presentation the RIO Perception is the go-to choice. We had a chance to fish this line in New Zealand in its early development and loved it. The ability to carry line in the air with control and then land the fly precisely and delicately is critical, the Technical Trout did the job. RIO Technical Trout with SlickCast is available in 3-6wt in Sky Blue / Peach and in Double Taper 3-6wt in Sky Blue/Peach. In addition to a great taper and SlickCast RIO Technical Trout fly lines feature MaxFloat Tips, DualTone Color and front and back loops.
